Our Story

Connectivity by design.

In 2025, Victor Topouria founded Topouria Group along with partners Liam Spindler and Brynn Smith, all three of whom were recent Master's graduates from the International History and International Relations departments at the London School of Economics.

As a Georgian who spent his early career in the United States working in various public relations, consulting and sales roles, Victor wanted to build a company devoted to addressing the problems experienced by organisations in post-Soviet countries when communicating with Western investors, institutions and consumers.

Traditional advisory services approach these problems from their narrow specialist silos. Public relations firms focus on reputation, consultants on business performance, and analysts on risk. But the credibility challenges facing organisations in these markets don't exist in neat categories. They are shaped by decades-old narratives, perceptions of institutional risk, limited cultural understanding, environmental changes, and complex geopolitical dynamics.

Topouria Group was founded on the belief that addressing these challenges requires a more integrated approach that brings together storytelling, business strategy and risk analysis. The two interlocking rings of our logo reflect both the interdisciplinary nature of our work and our mission of fostering connectivity between peoples, cultures and geographies.

Our Principles

What guides our work

Trust and transparency

We understand our work requires a degree of professional intimacy. Our stories are central to our identities, and sharing them requires trust, mutual understanding and confidence that they will be heard and handled with care. When partnering with clients, we establish trust by being open about our interests and values, aligning our objectives, and reinforcing them through a relationship that is transparent, respectful and friendly.

Long-term thinking

We take the long view of both history and business success, and we work with clients who share the same outlook. While we remain attentive to the shifting currents of global business and geopolitics, we understand that meaningful success is rarely measured season to season or fad to fad. This is why we selectively partner with organisations that think beyond the immediate horizon, operate with purpose and prioritise service to their communities.

Relationship-driven

The more neural connections a brain develops, the more intelligent and antifragile it becomes. The same holds true for people and organisations. Strong relationships amplify success in times of abundance and protect us in times of crisis. This is why we place client relationships at the centre of our work while continuously growing our network across business, government, media and education, creating more pathways for client success.

Middle road ethic

We navigate the middle road between idealist aspirations and practical realities. While our ambitions align with the gradual, sustainable expansion of financial and political freedom, we recognise the constraints and complexities of the environments where our clients operate. By balancing principle with pragmatism, we develop strategies that deliver results that are both good for business and beneficial for society.

Authencity and levity

Recent political memory teaches us that credibility and authenticity have become inseparable. There is no room for trust if audiences don't believe your communications to be genuine. For us, this means being honest and direct in our relationships. And even though the issues we work on carry real weight, we always bring humour and levity to our interactions, to help maintain perspective, keep the conversation open and the ideas flowing.

Scalable learning

Successful theories and enduring models are those rooted in experience and reinforced through practice—built from the ground-up, rather than imposed from the top-down. Experience is the supreme form of learning. Thus every project is both an opportunity to apply our knowledge and to expand it. We approach our work with the confidence to deliver results and the humility to learn, refine and scale learnings to larger endeavours.
